Automation for new products and alt text
On Maintain, Lumi can draft the empty fields you choose when you add a product, and fill missing alt text after product updates. It's off until you turn it on.
Drafts or automatic publishing: your choice
Once you turn automation on, it starts set to Publish automatically. If you want to review each new product first, choose Create drafts for review. Nothing publishes until you approve it.
Turn on automatic content creation
Settings → Automatic content creation.
Choose the content to create
Pick which fields Lumi drafts for new products. Each option shows its credit cost: two for a description, one for each other field.
Choose what happens next
Under When Lumi creates content automatically, choose Publish automatically (you can review and restore changes from Records) or Create drafts for review.
Set a monthly credit limit
Leave it empty for no limit. Automation skips a product if it would go over the limit in the current billing period. Batches you start yourself aren't affected.
Get a daily summary
Optionally email your store contact a summary on days automation creates or publishes content.
Before you rely on it
Automation is only as good as the product data it starts from.
Start with drafts
Run on Create drafts for review for a few weeks, check the results, then decide whether automatic publishing fits.
Keep agency clients on drafts
When a client must approve every change, leave automation on Create drafts for review.
Fix source data first
Products imported without details produce thin drafts. Fill in the facts, then let automation draft.
Lumi help questions
Which plan includes automation?
Maintain. Free and One-Time Cleanup don't include it.
Will automation overwrite content I wrote?
No. Automation only fills fields that are empty.
Can I undo something automation published?
Yes, for eligible changes. Lumi saves the previous value and won't overwrite a later edit. See restore and export.
Keep new products from falling behind
Maintain is $19/month or $190/year, with optional automation.
