Shopify product content in 17 languages
If your store sells in Spanish, German, or Japanese, your drafts should be written in it, not translated afterward. Choose one draft language for your store and Lumi writes every new draft in it.
Supported draft languages
English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), Korean, Arabic, Russian, Polish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish.
One draft language per store
Settings → General settings → Draft language.
Every field, one language
Descriptions, image alt text, SEO titles, and meta descriptions are all drafted in the language you choose.
Written, not translated
Lumi writes directly in the selected language from your product data, using natural grammar for that language. Proper names stay as they are.
Change it any time
The setting applies to new drafts. Content you've already published stays as it is.
How this fits with Shopify translations
Lumi fills your store's primary content fields. It doesn't manage translations.
Primary language stores
If your store's main language is German, set German as the draft language and Lumi fills your fields in German.
Multi-language stores
Lumi writes your primary-language fields. Translations for other markets are managed by Shopify's Translate & Adapt app or a translation app, which can translate the content Lumi published.
Review in the language
Have someone who reads the language review drafts, especially for sizing, care, and regulated product terms.
